Steamboat & BBQ Buffets at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for just under RM60!

The two buffets that I had tried at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur are Suki-Ya and ROCKU Yakiniku.

So let’s just get right into it shall we? For my personal preference I prefer ROCKU Yakiniku (I’ll explain further below). However, Suki-Ya is good too tho. But depends on what type of buffet you prefer. I was luckily enough to try both in this trip. Shoooo ‘Tamjiak’ rite? I know I know.

First I will start with Suki-Ya. It’s a shabu-shabu Japanese hotpot. It’s more to the healthier side. You can choose 2 out of 4 soup bases which are shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, miso and kimuchi. I highly recommend the miso and kimuchi soup. FREE FLOW of freshly thin sliced meat from choices of chicken, beef and lamb (Pork free). There is also a healthy bar with decent selections of fresh Veges, mushrooms and frozen food (scallops recommended). They also have an a-la carte menu choices ranging from tofu to salmon sashimi.

But but but the star of this buffet is their signature specially made dipping sauce! It is the UMAMI of this buffet that makes everything taste extra yummier! So with further ado food pics to please your eyes. Owh nearly forgot to add in the bonus for dessert, UNLIMITED matcha icecream! Yasss!

Lunch : 11.30am -5pm RM32.80++

Dinner : 5pm-10pm RM39.80++

Next buffet is at ROCKU Yakiniku. It’s a casual, upbeat and edgy restaurant. Melding traditional style of Japanese dining with modern entertainment. BBQ Japanese with cuts of meat raging from beef, lamb, pork and chicken. Live band performances (my favorite part of the buffet besides the bbq meats). Why I prefer Rocku than Suki-ya is cause just the ambiance the live band makes the meal just more enjoyable. I think I do not have to explain more and let pictures speak for itself aye.

Lunch : 11am – 5pm

Weekday RM39.90++ Weekend RM49.90++

Dinner : 5pm – 11pm

Weekday & Weekend RM49.90++

Sushi King Ramadhan Buffet 2018 @ RM37.90

Basically I wanted to try something different for this Year’s Ramadhan buffet. Not the usually curry, rendang and roti Canai kinda buffet.

So this year, Sushi King had this Ramadhan Buffet promo for quite a reasonable price as you can see headed in the title. Not a click bait I promise. And all those bonanza lovers out there will definitely enjoy this buffet! I thought to myself, YES all those japanese curry I could indulge too so WHY NOT!

Korean Steel BBQ Buffet Kuching

I’ve been curious about this Korean BBQ buffet for quite awhile which cost only RM38 per pax (drinks not included). But not much of photos or reviews were posted on social media (for me to stalk about). I’m the type of person who wants to try new restaurant or café but will stalk about it on social media, see reviews, photos about the place (ambiance), food (yummy or attractive or not) then decide whether it’s worth my money to give it a try LOL (kiam siap si) 😑

So with only RM38 for a Korean buffet which won’t damage my wallet if it’s a lousy-nothing-worth-to-eat kind of buffet, I decided to just give it a try (like so big deal taking some kind of risk like that).

I present to you the Korean BBQ buffet tada~

Ambiance not bad quite spacious and airy for an indoor BBQ (as you can see got 2 fans n 1 aircond

With just 5 of us they were kind enough to give us 2 BBQ tray so that we don’t have to crowd and squeeze to 1 table. As you can see the space for us to put our raw ingredients were limited.

Now I’ll show you the varieties of raw meats, side dishes & cooked food.

Ok, all these photos were taken before I start BBQ-ing the meats and get all greasy everywhere (as I arrive early n some dishes weren’t brought out yet) so some of those dishes won’t be shown in this blog but I’ll try fill in the blanks for you.

 Beside this row of vege n kimchi, is a tray of fresh pickled radish that is so delish to eat with those BBQ meats n a tray of japchae (Korean glass noodles) which were my favorite cause got extra three layer pork hehe

I know you will think why only so little amount of side dishes given right. From my observation, they like to serve the side dishes fresh so once the tray is almost empty, they will refill with a fresh batch again.

My serving 😁

So there you go, my curiosity for this BBQ buffet has been fulfilled.
Yes! This Korean BBQ buffet is definitely worth RM38! I’m truly satisfied “JJANG!” 👍🏻
